Synca is an open-source application designed to synchronize local files with Google Drive. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Synca does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to our own servers. All synchronization processes occur directly between your local machine and Google Drive APIs.

Specifically regarding Google User Data:

• Google Drive Scopes: Synca requests access to your Google Drive files (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file or similar) solely to perform file synchronization tasks you initiate.
• Authentication: We use OAuth2 for authentication. Your Google credentials (passwords) are never seen or stored by Synca. The application only stores an encrypted refresh token locally on your machine to maintain the connection.

Google API Services User Data Policy:
Synca's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties. Your data remains on your local device and within your own Google Drive account.

4. Security

Synca uses standard secure protocols (HTTPS) to communicate with Google APIs. Being open-source, the community can audit our source code at any time to verify our security practices.
